Best Beauty Tip? Take your time!

ClockI came to a very basic realization as I put on my makeup this morning: applying makeup is all about taking your time. Yeah, the reason why I've never been able to do my eyeshadow in the past is because I usually do it with two shades of color, one lousy applicator and in about 30 seconds ... in the car. Don't get me wrong, having the right tools are important, too. I can't say that having a lot of makeup options and nice brushes doesn't help. But doing a decent eye is all about taking time and blending. It's about a lot of blending!

In writing this blog, I've realized that the reason why I'm so clueless about makeup is because I just don't take the time to do it right. I don't want to take twice as long to get ready for work and therefore I rush. That's not to say that I really am invested in spending more time doing this beauty stuff. But it means that if I don't take my time to apply makeup, I shouldn't complain that it doesn't look right.

Or, I should learn the best shortcuts.

Anyway, this was just a long way of asking the following question:

the reason why I spend 5 minutes or less putting on makeup in the morning is that I only apply Mascara - that's the one I get, though I probably do it all wrong.. I'm gonna read this blog more often, maybe I'll learn a thing or two..

On the days that I put a whole face on, it can take me about 20 to 30 minutes. Most of that is spent on my eyes because I tend to screw up and start over. Otherwise, I can usually be done within 10 minutes. I'm very guilty of the car thing though.

My daily makeup doesn't take very long because I don't want to spend that kind of time. I get what I expect - a nice, low key look. When I go out "on the town," I'll spend significantly more time and get significantly better results.

Nice and very informative information. I had just got a tip off the last time from my friend regarding this blog, today I thought I should go for the trial and guess what this trial search for the blog worked very well. I am happy I opened up the article and read it.

First, I must say that this is a great article.

Personally, I think that this is kind of a problem for all the women, getting ready in the morning, for work.
It takes for me ~15 minutes to get ready at morning, only for applying make up- putting foundation, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick- daily look.
I love your blog!
